Andres Moreno y Wilmer Sarmiento iniciaron el proyecto para crear lo que se convertiría en la plataforma de aprendizaje Open English en Octubre 2005. Andres y Wilmer se conocieron durante sus estudios en la Universidad Simon Bolivar (USB) en Caracas, Venezuela. Andres tuvo la visión de crear una manera escalable para enseñar inglés online y Wilmer tuvo la experticia y la pasión para convertirlo en realidad.Andres Moreno and Wilmer Sarmiento started the project to create what would become the Open English learning platform in October 2005. Andres and Wilmer met while they were studying engineering at the Universidad Simon Bolivar (USB) in Caracas, Venezuela. Andres had the vision to create a scalable way to teach English online and Wilmer had the expertise and the passion to make it a reality. Wilmer became the chief architect for the online school learning platform where he began working in infrastructure research and framework validation, his specialty.
